The Vitus e-Sommet VRS Mountain Bike has all the trail-shredding performance and longer travel of a big-hitting 170mm Enduro bike, with a Shimano motor under the hood that kills the climbs and extends access to the most technical tracks.

The e-Sommet VRS has been developed to run a mullet wheel setup. A 27.5” rear wheel gives you more clearance for steep ground and is more responsive through tight corners, while a 29” wheel at the front eats up rocky terrain and keeps momentum high. You’re getting the versatility of both wheel sizes in one bike. The stability of the full aluminium frame with a seamlessly integrated battery is rock solid, so you won’t be taking just any line, this is a bike for taking the best line. This is a bike that tracks so accurately it rewards you with time. Time to line up the next obstacle and pick your route as the trail unfolds in front of you. The powerful STEPS system, with E8035 504wh internal battery, keeps you fresh on the climbs so you can go all-in on the descents.

Kan ik 50 kilometer lang rijden met een acculading, of zelfs 120? Voor iedereen die geïnteresseerd is in e-bikes, is dit belangrijke informatie. Fabrikanten proberen zo realistisch mogelijk aan te geven wat het maximale bereik is van een volledige acculading, in de praktijk hangt dit echter af van veel factoren. Naast de motor horen hier ook de energie-inhoud (400 of 500 Wh), het gebruik en de leeftijd van de accu bij. Maar ook het gewicht, je zithouding, rijstijl (startfrequentie, cadans) en het gekozen ondersteuningsniveau (Eco, Tour, Sport, Turbo) hebben een grote invloed. En niet in de laatste plaats beïnvloeden het profiel van het wegdek (hellend of vlak), de ondergrond (asfalt of ongeasfalteerd), de wind (tegenwind, rugwind) en het bandenprofiel het reële bereik. Dit maakt het uiterst moeilijk om nauwkeurige en betrouwbare informatie te verstrekken.
