E-bike banden
Degenen die al zijn overgestapt op een e-bike hebben waarschijnlijk al ervaren dat hun gemiddelde snelheid aanzienlijk hoger ligt dan bij een niet-gemotoriseerde fiets. Dit betekent ook dat banden op een e-bike aan hogere belastingen worden blootgesteld en sneller kunnen verslijten. De wet vereist geen speciale banden voor Pedelecs (langzame e-bikes met trapondersteuning tot 25 km/u). Bandenfabrikanten raden aan om ook hier op e-bike-banden te vertrouwen. Een e-bike-ready band herken je meestal aan de zijwand, waar een bijbehorend opschrift of een logo staat. Op S-Pedelecs (snelle e-bikes met trapondersteuning tot 45 km/u) zijn in heel Europa alleen fietsbanden met ECE-R75 markering toegestaan en deze moeten ook zichtbaar zijn op de zijwanden.
